Dutch Apple Pancake

This has got to be one of my all time favorite pancake recipes. As a kid my Mom made these on occasion, but our original recipe didn't have as many ingredients as this one does. I hope everyone who makes these at home will love them as much as I do.

Ingredients: 1 Cup Milk
4 Large Eggs
3 Tbls. Sugar
1tsp. Vanilla Extract
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
2/3 Cup All-Purpose Flour
4 Tbls. Unsalted Butter
12 Oz. Apples, Peeled, Cored, and Sliced Thinly
3 Tbls. Packed Brown Sugar
Powdered Sugar (optional)
Maple Syrup

In a large bowl, Whisk together the Eggs

Milk

Vanilla

Sugar

Salt

Cinnamon

And Flour until smooth

Set the mixture aside

Place the Butter into a 13x9 in. glass baking dish and put into a preheated oven at 425 F until melted.

While the Butter melts, wash and peel the Apples

Then core and slice thinly

Once the Butter is melted remove from the oven

Place the Apple slices into the pan overlapping each other and return to the oven until the butter starts to sizzle and browns around the edges

Once the Butter/Apples are ready, remove the pan from the oven and pour in the prepared mix.

Sprinkle the Brown Sugar over the top and return to the oven to cook for another 15-20 minutes

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly

Then Dust with Powdered Sugar and Syrup and enjoy.
